What makes you feel proud?
Seeing my children develop their own relationships with Jesus and become strong, independent, opinionated individuals. Serving others and bringing glimpses of hope through our work at Swift Physical Therapy. Having a husband who loves Jesus and others and prioritizes our marriage, family, and friendships. He has worked so hard the last year to completely switch careers so that he can serve others more effectively, while still organizing time with friends and date nights with me.
What keeps you up at night?
Mom guilt. Did I do enough today to show my kids that I love them? Should I work less? Should I have stayed up later to let my teenager keep taking? But also, how can I work more so people aren’t on the waitlist and hurting?
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
Balancing raising my children well and working. I feel like I have a calling and gift to do both; I just want to do both with excellence and that’s hard. I don’t ever want to let someone down.
What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?
I see and hear a lot of issues that may stem from lack of education in regards to our food, nutrition, and basic steps we can take to walk in wellness. I think there are so many little things we can do to help ourselves and our children feel better. I believe helping others recognize ways they can improve their health and promote wellness in their families will be beneficial now and for future generations.
