What does your typical day look like?

I work a 9 to 5 and I work on my non-profit after work for a few hours, researching, taking online classes, and applying for grants. I spend time on my music. I’m working on releasing my first single, and I need studio time and writing time. I study songs for church on Sunday as I’m also the minister of music at my church.

What makes you feel proud?

I am proud of the life I’ve lived in service to God and others — from using my musical gifts to uplift my church, to founding the Alpha Rehabilitation and Wellness Foundation as a resource for healing and hope, to mentoring youth and encouraging other musicians to walk boldly in their calling. What makes me most proud is knowing that my faith, perseverance, and dedication have touched lives across my church, nonprofit, workplace, and community, leaving an impact that continues to inspire others.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

My biggest obstacles have been limited resources, balancing many responsibilities, and overcoming challenges that come with serving others while still pursuing my own dreams. These obstacles have tested my faith and perseverance, but they’ve also made me stronger, more resilient, and more determined to keep moving forward in my purpose.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

God, my family and my closest friends. God is my foundation and guide, my family provides love and strength, and my friends encourage and support me as I continue to walk in my purpose.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

The lack of hope and resources for those struggling with trauma, addiction, and limited opportunities. Too many youth and families feel overlooked without the tools or guidance to move forward in a positive direction. By creating safe spaces through music, block parties, wellness programs, and more, I believe we can bring people together, restore hope, and strengthen our community for the future.

What advice do you wish you could give your younger self? How might it have changed your course?

I would remind her that obstacles and setbacks are not signs of failure, but stepping stones toward purpose. If I had embraced that confidence earlier, I might have started my music and nonprofit journey sooner, reached more people earlier in life, and walked with greater peace knowing that God’s timing and plan are always perfect.
