What does your typical day look like?

My workdays are hard to pin down — each one is different. I spend time with the teens we serve, connect with the community, share our story with professionals, educate others about addiction and adolescents, meet with struggling teens and their families, and help them find treatment. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.

What makes you feel proud?

I am most proud of my children, seeing them grow into happy, authentic adults. Professionally, I feel proud when a teen we’ve served returns to share that they’re living sober, productive lives, accomplishing things they once thought impossible. It’s humbling to witness their transformation and the impact our team has on families.

What keeps you up at night?

Fear of the future and worrying about meeting the needs of our community often keep me awake. I think about whether I’m doing enough for my kids, my parents, and the families we serve. I replay conversations in my head, worry about details like bills or appointments, and hope that I haven’t disappointed anyone.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

Without question, my parents. They taught me early on the importance of serving others, loving those who struggle, and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Growing up helping at the Baptist Mission Center and a local nursing home instilled in me a lifelong commitment to service. Their unwavering support, even when I made mistakes, shaped the person I am today.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

Doubt has been my greatest obstacle — doubting my worth, my right to a seat at the table, and fearing failure. Pushing past those fears and learning to trust myself has been a major area of growth.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I hope to continue growing, exploring who I am, and managing my time better to make space for joy and personal pursuits. I aim to live more intentionally while balancing professional dedication with personal well-being.
