What makes you feel proud?
As an event coordinator, I feel proud when I see an event come together seamlessly, knowing I’ve orchestrated something memorable and impactful for attendees. As an active member in the community, I find pride in contributing to positive change, whether through volunteering or my role at Norman Regional. As a mom, my pride glows when I witness my children grow, learn, and show kindness and resilience in their own lives. As a friend, I am proud that I am part of a network where we lift each other up through life’s ups and downs.
What keeps you up at night?
Besides having kids (just kidding)... big decisions that I know I have to make that have an impact on my kids or my family and friends keep me up at night.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
The biggest influences in my life have been my parents. They have imparted invaluable wisdom, instilled strong values, and consistently supported me in pursuing my dreams and navigating life’s challenges with resilience and compassion.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
The biggest obstacle I’ve faced in my life so far I would probably say is being a mother. While incredibly rewarding, it also has been a challenge to create a sense of balance with motherhood and all of the other responsibilities I am committed to.
What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?
Something I will always strive for in the community is unity and seeing people supporting one another no matter what their background is. Many communities have similar barriers and the only way those can be broken down is by coming together with a common goal, understanding, and respect.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
