Peggy Geib

What makes Peggy Wildly Capable?

I’ve known Peggy since 2018, and she has been an incredible mentor. She empowers those around her to take on the world, offering wisdom, guidance, and leadership that have shaped my personal and professional growth. Peggy encourages following passions and enjoying the journey. Even in retirement, she remains active in the community, serving on boards and volunteering. Anyone who spends time with Peggy immediately feels inspired, uplifted, and better for having known her. ASHLEY COFFEY

What makes you feel proud?

I am most proud of and grateful for my children and grandchildren. They are the greatest blessings in my life, and watching them grow into the people they are fills me with tremendous joy every day. Their kindness, generosity, compassion, daily achievements, wisdom, and the love we share is truly a blessing. Knowing that a part of me lives on through them and that I’ve been a part of their journey is something I treasure deeply.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

I was blessed to have been born and raised by loving and humble parents who believed in possibilities for their children while holding high expectations for each of us. These expectations were not about our role in life but rather that of generosity, strong work ethic, grace for self and others, compassion, continuous learning, loyalty, and following our dreams.

What keeps you up at night?

I worry about the discord occurring around the world and in our communities and find myself asking, “Why can’t we all treat each other with dignity, grace, and civil discourse?” It seems so simple! On the other hand, what gets me up in the morning is hope and the possibilities each new day offers to make a difference in some small way.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

The biggest obstacle in my life has often been myself — my own fears, doubts, and insecurities. I’ve been the one standing in my own way, questioning whether I was capable enough, or perhaps if someone else could do it better. It took time to learn how to quiet that inner voice and allow myself to grow, take risks, and believe that I am worthy of the opportunities presented to me. A friend once shared that if it’s not at least a little bit scary, it may not be worth doing, and some of the most rewarding times in my life have been those that took me completely out of my comfort zone.
