Shaina Smith
What makes Shaina Wildly Capable?
Shaina is a dynamic powerhouse of a woman. With a warm demeanor and an infectious smile, she is able to command a room while getting down to business to make sure what needs to get done actually gets done. Shaina is someone you always want at the helm of the ship not just because of what she can get done, but how she makes everyone feel in the process. JANTZEN MILLER
What makes you feel proud?
What makes me feel proud is when I can see lives transformed. I feel proud when I can encourage someone to be better than they were yesterday. I love seeing businesses fulfill all they can accomplish through a sustainable growing system. I feel proud when we can get another foreign missionary on the ground because of the people who sacrificially give. I feel proud knowing I live in Oklahoma and can impact people around the world.
What keeps you up at night?
What keeps me up at night is knowing that there are willing foreign missionaries who want to get on the mission field but lack the resources and support to get there. What keeps me up at night is knowing that there is a broken system of how we fund missionaries and how we prepare them to be effective on the mission field.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
Feeling called to leave everything that was familiar in ministry and go into the unfamiliar fields of construction and real estate. I helped start a church where I was able to create sustainable systems, and in six years it grew from 100 people when we started to 4,500 when I stepped into the full-time business world. I used the knowledge of ministry and translated it into everyday life in small business. By colliding my two worlds, I was able to co-found Missionary Allies, a support organization that equips spirit-filled foreign missionaries from developing countries to do Kingdom work internationally without having to fundraise.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
My parents, who taught me to love Jesus. Russell and Tabitha Clark, who became family/bosses to me when I was a transplant from California. They have invested in me and cared for me like family.
