What does your typical day look like?
My days are anything but typical, but they are full and purposeful. Depending on how I feel, I start my mornings with a little quiet time to get focused and prepare for the day ahead. From there, my day moves between co-pastoring Divine Vision International Worship Center with my husband, teaching and mentoring students through Divine Vision Christian University, and managing multiple businesses and empowerment platforms like ReChargeHer.™ I also believe in enjoying life. I like to laugh, travel, have fun, and stay connected to people, when I’m not in my moments of servitude or solitude.
What keeps you up at night?
My purpose. I often find myself reflecting on whether I am walking in all that God has called me to do and if I am making the impact I am meant to make. My creative mind rarely turns off, and I am constantly thinking of new ways to build, write, and create spaces that empower others to heal and fulfill purpose.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
Learning how to manage ongoing health challenges while still showing up. Living with lupus, fibromyalgia, and other chronic conditions has tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally, but it has also strengthened my resilience and changed how I care for myself. Each day is a press, but I’ve learned how to pace myself, listen to my body, and move forward, choosing purpose and progress, even on the days that require a little more grace.
What makes you feel proud?
What truly makes me feel grateful is seeing lives transformed because I chose to say “Yes” to God, even in hard seasons. I’m thankful for the opportunity to create safe spaces through retreats, conferences, businesses, and empowerment events where people feel seen, valued, and reminded of their purpose. I enjoy watching my adult children make a positive impact in the world, and I feel blessed to celebrate 28 years of marriage. I’m also grateful for rising above life as a 20-year-old single mother who didn’t know if she would still accomplish her goals.
What advice do you wish you could give your younger self? How might it have changed your course?
I would tell her not to settle, to go after what she truly believes she deserves in life, and that every setback was preparing her for strength, even when it didn’t feel that way. If I had embraced that sooner, I may have walked more boldly, taken bigger risks, and avoided some seasons of doubt that slowed me down. Still, every part of my journey shaped who I am today, and I now use those lessons to help others see their value, trust themselves, and walk confidently in who they are created to be.
