Krishella Day
What makes Krishella Wildly Capable?
Krishella is fabulous and has a true heart to serve. While she is a powerhouse in her professional career, I had the joy of seeing her in a different light – cooking meals for a group. Not only was every dish delicious, but her presence in the kitchen radiated warmth, kindness, and joy. Krishella has a rare ability to uplift and inspire those around her, blending talent, service, and genuine care in everything she does. – SHARRI COLEMAN
What does your typical day look like?
I’m an HR Director so most days are filled with lots of conversations. I mentor, advise, recommend, and problem solve daily. After work, I work out to decompress from the day.
What makes you feel proud?
The success of my adult children. My accomplishments as a woman. The work that I do and the company that I work for. My relationship with my parents. My positive connection to other powerful, like-minded women. I am a very positive woman and see the light in all situations. I am a faith based believer and God is my foundation. My faith sustains me and is a very important part of my hopefulness.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
My parents, I honor and adore both of them. I have a strong relationship with both my mother and father. I know I am blessed to still have them around at my age.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
Going through menopause. The physical challenges of this condition are very difficult. As a woman who has been athletic my entire life I am determined to get through this but it is very difficult.
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope to be married to the love of my life and living under the same roof. We live an hour apart but we make it work. I also hope to be even closer to my goal of being debt-free.
What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?
Homelessness and hunger. If I could have one wish it would be that everyone had access to a safe, clean home of their own with unlimited food to eat.
What advice do you wish you could give your younger self? How might it have changed your course?
I would give my younger self the same advice that I give my children: keep on living and loving. Even the toughest of times pass and life gets greater later. I am proud to say that I have no regrets about my life’s choices and path.
